Why not come to Woodstock, Vermont, for an in-person consultation with
the Complete Astrologer? It's the perfect place for:
a mother-daughter retreat
a girls' escape
a family reunion
a haven for the non-skier while the jocks are hitting the slopes
a romantic weekend (try a Relationship Reading!)
Here are some of my favorite places in and around Woodstock:
Accommodations:
The Woodstocker Inn, River Street, Woodstock
The Woodstock Inn and Resort, The Green, Woodstock
Shopping:
Shiretown Books, Woodstock, Vermont. A local independent bookstore. A charming bookstore where you'll want to hang out for hours. You can order anything from Kelly. And she's a total Sagittarius riot.
Thistle Bath and Body, Woodstock, Vermont. Thirty varieties of handmade soap, using the finest natural and organic ingredients. The store is a delight, filled with colors and yummy scents, and is owned and run by the lovely and creative Kirsten. No surprise she's a Leo.
Revolution Vintage White River Junction, Vermont. Modeled after urban thrift legends like The Garment District in Cambridge. Reinvented in 2007 to be the most radical shopping experience in the Upper Valley.
Red Wagon Toy Company Woodstock, Vermont. The cutest and most unique kids' stuff + the nicest staff = worth a visit. We get all our birthday party gifts here!
Fun:
Billings Farm and Museum: Woodstock, Vermont. Cows and pigs and sheep, oh my. Tip: Look for Ben's Watertub. You'll know it when you've found it.
Marsh-Billings National Park: Woodstock, Vermont. Beautiful hiking trails leading to a view of the village from Mount Tom.
Pentangle Arts Council: Woodstock, Vermont. For live performances (concerts, plays, music on the green, the annual Wassail Parade) and movies.
Norman Williams Public Library: A beloved and incredibly beautiful library... I'm a library junkie - I'm always hanging out in them, wasting hours and hours, and then dragging home piles of books. I'm so lucky to have NWPL. Here's a pic of the amazing 2nd floor.
Groceries:
Woodstock Farmers' Market: Woodstock, Vermont. Friendly staff, great produce and take-out items.
Dining Out:
The Woodstock Inn (Woodstock, Vermont): has an elegant formal dining room as well as a cozy cafe.
The East Ender (Woodstock, Vermont): is the best kept secret in Woodstock. A friendly, well-priced locals' hangout with a nice selection of wines.
Simon Pearce (Quechee, Vermont): a four-star dining experience, crystal factory, and elegant shop, all in one. An amazing brunch!
Zins Wine Bistro: (Hanover, New Hampshire): great wine list, tasting dishes, and the most dramatic dining room in the Upper Valley. Get the duck!!
Tip Top Cafe Vermont (White River Junction, Vermont): Funky, industrial chic-y, good food, very friendly atmosphere - and you can wander through the artsy Tip Top Building when you're done with dinner.
Exploring Further:
